Intraoperative Neuro Monitoring (IONM) is a medical procedure which complements and enhances a surgeon/doctors ability to deliver better patient outcomes. IONM is intended to identify potential nerve deficits and collaborate with the medical team with real-time information. The surgeon / doctor can proactively address the situation as the patient’s procedure progresses.
Monitoring Concepts teams are credentialed by the American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) maintaining the designation(s) of REEGT, REPT, and/or CNIM.

Our teams have the ability to monitor several modalities, as represented below:
Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP)
Electroencephalography (EEG)
EMG – Electromyography
Pedicle Screw Simulation
TransCranial Motor Evoked Potentials (TcMEP)
Endarterectomy
Vestibulocochlear Procedures
BAER – Brainstem Auditory Evoked Responses
An EEG is requested by doctors to diagnose and evaluate several conditions:
Monitoring Concepts has the capability and technicians to provide extended EEG monitoring for up to 72 hours at a patient’s home location, clinical sites, or at medical facilities. The benefit is improved results and ease for patients. The patient can continue with their daily activities. This approach is typically a less expensive and less intrusive EEG monitoring. Monitoring Concepts has the medical capabilities to meet the patient, the trained technicians to setup the monitoring, state-of-the art equipment to capture and measure the results, and Neurologists to interpret the results.
Monitoring Concepts has the capability to provide the initial diagnostic EEG. This medical procedure is generally a 30 – 60 minute procedure to capture a baseline of data. The doctor may request additional EEG monitoring based on the Diagnostic EEG results.
An EEG diagnostic technique which involves the inpatient hospitalization of the patient for a period of time, typically days to weeks, during which they are continuously monitored and recorded with a video camera and an electroencephalograph. Your doctor may request a Continuous Long Term EEG to diagnose seizures, epilepsy, or another medical condition.
Monitoring Concepts is approved to work in several hundred medical facilities to support the Continuous Long-Term EEGs.
