Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring can provide vital information to the surgeon aiding in the prevention of permanent neurological deficits that can occur during surgery that may otherwise go undetected. In some instances complications during surgery can be detected and corrected at the time of surgery lessening the chances of  repeating the procedure, aiding in keeping costs down to the facility and third party payors.  Monitoring also can aid in accurate placement of spinal hardware and implants such as pedicle screws. Currently monitoring is being utilized for Cardiac, Cardio-Thoracic, Neuro, Orthopedics, and Plastic Surgery to name a few.

The mission of Monitoring Concepts, Dallas/Ft Worth’s premiere Intraoperative Monitoring service, is to offer high quality mobile technology utilizing state-of-the-art

equipment, provided by a team of highly skilled experts who have met the minimum educational requirements, training, and credentialing to perform these duties.

A team of experts credentialed by the American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) maintaining the designation(s) of REEGT, REPT, and/or CNIM with over 15 years of experience deliver these services. All staff maintain minimal required Malpractice coverage, and meet continuing education requirements. Technologists arrive at the designated location, set up equipment, prepare the patient, and record monitoring data throughout the surgical procedure. In addition to having one of our experts present, a board certified Neurophysiologist also analyzes the data in real-time from a remote location via a secured network. HIPPA regulations are enforced at all times.

Monitoring Concepts offers most modalities of Intraoperative Monitoring including Somatosensory Evoked Potential (SSEP), Transcranial Motor Evoked Potentials (TcMEP), Electromyography (EMG), Pedicle Screw Stimulation, Brainstem Auditory Evoked Responses (BAERs), and Electroencephalography (EEG). (see our procedure page for additional information) Monitoring is made available according to recommendations and guidelines set forth by the American EEG Society (AEEGS).

Our mobile services allow facilities to offer valuable technology to their surgeons and patients eliminating the need to recruit their own staff, pay for costly training, or budget for expensive equipment.
